FD City Council advances zoning change
The Fort Dodge City Council on Monday advanced the rezoning of some property along Fifth Avenue South.
The parcels being rezoned are on the south side of the road between 15th and 19th streets. They are owned by the city government.
The parcels are being switched from a residential multifamily designation to an arterial commercial designation.
The change must be approved once more to become law.
Also on Monday, the council purchased 11 sets of firefighter protective gear from Dinges Fire Co., of Amboy, Illinois, for $47,817. The new gear will replace the oldest sets of personal protective equipment now in use.
