State archivist will speak at Kossuth County Genealogical Society
ALGONA — The Kossuth County Genealogical Society will hold its annual meeting on Saturday at the Algona Library, Room A. Anthony Jahn, state archivist at the State Historical Society, will be a special guest beginning at 10:15 a.m. Jahn will expound on the various branches of the State Library and Archives as well as give a synopsis of the numerous historical collections available at both the Des Moines and Iowa City locations. If you are curious about a certain event or topic in the past and would like to dig a little deeper, you will not want to miss this very informative presentation. It is free and open to anyone. Light refreshments will be served.
