Veterans Day celebration and swing dance Nov. 11
There will be a Veterans Day celebration and swing dance beginning at noon on Nov. 11 at the Best Western Starlite Village, 1518 Third Ave. N.W. At noon there will be food and drinks for purchase. There will be a guest speaker on the bridge project at 1 p.m., followed by live music from the ’50s and ’60s by Maurice Jules at 1:30 p.m. The Michael Lyon Jazz Quarter will perform at 3 p.m. with a swing band and dance. Kriss Karr will perform beginning at 6 p.m. with classic rock and 70’s music. Freewill donations will be accepted with all proceeds going to the Fort Dodge Veterans Bridge Project.
