A LifeFlight helicopter landed at the Gypsum City Off-Highway Vehicle Park Tuesday afternoon to pick up someone who was critically injured in a crash there.
Preliminary reports indicate that a man was thrown off of a dirt bike when it crashed inside the park south of Fort Dodge. The incident remains under investigation by the Law Enforcement Bureau of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
The crash was reported at 2:25 p.m.
Firefighters from Otho and Fort Dodge, Webster County sheriff's deputies and the Iowa State Patrol responded along with DNR officers and the LifeFlight crew.
