SAC CITY — A woman was found dead inside a vehicle in the North Raccoon River near Sac City Friday morning, according to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies identified her as Samantha F. Trimpe, 30, of Breda.

No foul play is suspected in the incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

At 10:18 a.m. Friday an overturned vehicle was reported in the North Raccoon River near Hagge Park. Law enforcement and emergency personnel found a 2003 Jeep Cherokee in the water. It was pulled out of the river, and Trimpe was found inside.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the State Medical Examiner.

“The travel direction of the vehicle from the tire patterns at the scene indicated no sudden breaking or change of direction before the vehicle went into the river,” Chief Deputy Katie Stange wrote in a report on the incident.

Deputies were assisted by the Sac City police and fire departments, Sac County Emergency Medical Service and the Sac County Medical Examiner’s Office.
