A man stands accused of purloining pigs, according to court records.
Corey E. Goeders, 26, of Pocahontas, is accused of stealing hogs belonging to Hanor Family of Companies, of Webster City, and selling them to other pork producers, according to criminal complaints filed against him.
In those criminal complaints, Webster County sheriff's deputies charged Goeders with stealing 54 hogs valued at $10,785 from a facility at 2752 Garfield Ave on June 20, 2023.
Deputies also charged him with stealing 46 hogs valued at $6,453 from a facility at 2651 Indiana Ave. on Nov. 15, 2023.
Goeders is charged with one count of first degree theft and one count of second degree theft.
He made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Friday morning. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 25.
