Small fire reported at FD home
A small fire caused relatively minor damage to a Fort Dodge house Thursday evening.
The fire at 2547 Woodland Drive was reported at 7:07 p.m.
Assistant Fire Chief Matt Price said the fire apparently started in a flower pot for an unknown reason. He said it burned a small hole through the deck on the back of the house, burned some siding and sent some smoke into the house.
Firefighters were on scene for about an hour, making sure the fire had not spread anywhere else and ventilating smoke from the house.
