Household chemicals to be collected at home show

Area residents will be able to safely and properly get rid of any unwanted paint or chemicals during a collection to be held today as part of the Shimkat Motor Co. Home & Farm Show brought to you by The Messenger and Farm News.

The collection will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the North Central Iowa Regional Solid Waste Agency at the East Campus of Iowa Central Community College, 2031 Quail Ave.

Cleaners, paint, lawn and garden sprays, insecticides and aerosol containers are among the things that will be accepted. A complete list of items can be found at www.ncirswa.org.
