The Fort Dodge Police Department is investigating a gunshot that was fired Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured.

At 12:52 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a report of a shot being fired in the 1600 block of Fifth Avenue South. Responding officers determined that a shot had been fired a block east in the 1700 block of Fifth Avenue South. Witnesses were interviewed and physical evidence was collected.
