Almost Home to offer free pit bull adoptions
Everyone is familiar with St. Patrick’s Day, but how many know about St. Pittie’s Day?
The Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa will celebrate that pet-centric holiday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the animal shelter, 732 S. 32nd St. During that time, every adoption of a pit bull or pit bull mixed breed dog will be free.
While there will be no adoption fee, people must have an approved application to adopt on file with the humane society.
