Threats at Manson Northwest Webster addressed

MANSON — Two threatening statements affecting Manson Northwest Webster Community School District have been investigated this week.

Earlier in the week, district administrators and local law enforcement officers investigated a statement made off school grounds regarding a weapon.

“There is no evidence that a student brought a weapon onto school grounds at any time,” district Superintendent Justin Daggett wrote in an email to parents.

Then on Thursday at the Junior/Senior High School, a student made a threatening statement towards other students. The Manson Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department were called.

“Disciplinary procedures are taking place,” Daggett wrote in another email to parents. “The threat has been addressed. There is no danger to our Junior/Senior High School.”
