Alleged bath bandit busted in Fort Dodge
An illicit bath could send a Fort Dodge man to prison for up to five years.
According to court records, 40-year-old Daniel Mark Martin is charged with one count of third-degree burglary, a Class D felony.
The criminal complaint alleges that between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Martin kicked in a locked door of a vacant house in the 1300 block of Second Avenue North. Martin then allegedly ran a bath, “therefore taking something that did not belong to him,” Fort Dodge Police Officer Matt English wrote.
Martin had his initial hearing in Webster County Magistrate Court on Tuesday. He waived a preliminary hearing and was released on his own recognizance.
