The SALT Center, top floor at First Baptist Church, 28 N. 10th St., will be open every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. beginning today.

In preparation for the heating season, the center will continue to be open one day a week to provide continued client services. Should there be weather exceeding 85 degrees between now and the winter hours, the center will reopen for days needed. Watch the Facebook page for updates.

Winter hours will be announced as the temperatures indicate necessary. At that time, the center will return to a Monday through Saturday schedule.

Clients will be asked intake questions and will be offered assistance if they are looking for help with housing, food banks and mental health referrals.
