A Fort Dodge man was injured when two motorcycles collided Monday night on 225th Street in Webster County.

The Iowa State Patrol identified the man as Brian W. Mundie, 67. He was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center suffering from what troopers described as serious or incapacitating injuries.

A 14-year-old boy on the other motorcycle suffered minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital, according to the State Patrol.

The crash happened at 8:48 p.m. near 19893 225th St. According to the State Patrol, the two motorcycles were turning left into the driveway at that residence when the Yamaha motorcycle operated by Mundie hit the rear of the Honda operated by the 14-year-old.

The Otho and Fort Dodge fire departments, Webster County sheriff’s deputies and Fort Dodge police responded to the crash along with the State Patrol.
