Billion Graves seeks world record with Rescuing Our Roots event

BillionGraves.com is seeking to set a world record Sunday for the most participants to upload gravestone images in 24 hours.

To participate, follow these steps:

1. Join Rescuing Our Roots (BillionGraves.com/Rescue)

2. Download the Billion Graves App to your smartphone.

3. Find a cemetery that isn’t completely photographed. You can check at https://billiongraves.com/find-a-cemetery. Cemeteries with a black icon are completed. Cemeteries around Fort Dodge include Memorial Park Cemetery, Corpus Christi Cemetery, Oakland Cemetery, North Lawn Cemetery, Blossom Hill Cemetery and Otho Cemetery.

4. Go and take a photograph of a gravestone using the Billion Graves App.

5. Upload the photo(s) on Sunday. At least 10,000 people are needed to upload at least one photo each on the Billion Graves App on Sunday.
