Gateway to Discovery is holding Paint the Town Purple clean up event from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. June 5 through 9. Gloves and supplies will be provided. Dates and locations are:

June 5: Mason Memorial Drive (south of Sunkissed Meadows);

June 6: H.C. Meriwether Park and surrounding streets;

June 7: South Seventh Street and Meriwether Drive;

June 8: First Avenue South and Meriwether Drive;

June 9: Two teams and two locations, 9 to 11:45 a.m.; team one — 1606 Triton Drive, park along the road between Kwik Star and Sleep Inn near Iowa Central; team two — Oleson Park, 12th Avenue South and South 17th Street.

This is a fun way for employees, families and friends to do something together to help the community.
