FDPD looking for citizen help on theft cases

The Fort Dodge Police Department is looking for video from home security systems that will help lead to the arrest of suspects in some recent thefts.

The department has received reports of thefts from vehicles and thefts of vehicles in the past week.Officers are working to compile evidence in these cases and are looking for public assistance in obtaining video of these incidents.

Here are the dates and locations that video evidence is wanted:

• 8 p.m. Tuesday to 3 a.m. Wednesday, Kennedy Brown neighborhood (Williams Drive to North 15th Street and 24th Avenue North to 28th Avenue North)

• 8 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday, area around 17th Street and Eighth Avenue North

• 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday 1400 block of 11th Avenue North

• 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, 400 block of North 26th Place

Residents that live in those areas of town are asked to check their video systems for anything that looks suspicious or out of place during those times and dates.
