A public hearing on a resolution to reallocate some of the funds borrowed for the Webster County Nature Center project is scheduled for May 16.
The Webster County Board of Supervisors set the public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday.
In 2022, the board approved the issuance of $10,540,000 in general obligation capital loan notes to fund the planning and construction of the nature center along the Des Moines River in Fort Dodge.
According to the resolution setting the hearing, county staff has recommended that up to $5,719,772 of unspent proceeds of these bonds be reallocated to the county's Trail Construction Project.
The public hearing on the proposal will run during the board's regular meeting at 10 a.m. on May 16 in the Webster County Courthouse.
