Humboldt woman accused of hiring someone to kill her husband
A Humboldt woman will be in Webster County Magistrate Court this morning to face accusations that she tried to hire another person to kill her husband last year.
Erin Sue Rohrer, 44, is charged with solicitation to commit murder, a Class C felony. According to the criminal complaint, Rohrer met with an unnamed individual in Fort Dodge between April 28, 2022, and Nov. 2, 2022, “in an attempt to persuade them to commit the murder of her husband.”
Evidence of her intent includes admissions, statements by witnesses, phone data and communications and the financial records of the defendant, the criminal complaint says.
According to court records, Rohrer was taken into custody at the Webster County Law Enforcement Center on Thursday. She is being held in custody on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
