Council awards contract, tax abatement
The Fort Dodge City Council on Monday awarded a contract to repaint lines on streets throughout town.
Weikert Contracting, of Cedar Falls, was awarded a $70,047.50 contract for the job.
The council also approved a tax abatement that will enable the owner of a newly constructed detached garage to gradually assume the new property tax burden.
The abatement was awarded to Donald J. Hefley for the garage at 2237 Eighth Ave. S.
