The annual Afro-Latino Festival will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Student Resource Center on the Fort Dodge campus of Iowa Central Community College. The festival is sponsored each year by Iowa Central in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is free.

The festival features musical and dance performances, authentic cuisine, games, and dozens of student tables, related to Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean. Each table will represent a different country from Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean. The tables will feature student-made posters with information and photos focusing on the culture and historical development of nations from the region and their influence on American society in the United States.
