The Western Iowa Labor Federation has made an endorsement in a Webster County Board of Supervisors race.

Earlier this month, delegates of the federation voted to endorse Niki Conrad, who is running for re-election in District 4.

“Supervisor Niki Conrad has consistently shown up and worked hard for working families in Webster County,” said Jeff Shudak, president of the Western Iowa Labor Federation. “She’s the kind of local official we need more of in Iowa, and we’re proud to support her re-election to the board.”

Conrad said that “workers are the backbone of our communities.”

“Coming from a blue-collar union family, I’ve seen how unions have the backs of workers,” she said. “The endorsement by the Western Iowa Labor Federation is both a tremendous honor and also deeply humbling as it shows my support for the workers in our community.”
