One FDPD officer promoted, one hired
A veteran Fort Dodge police officer has been promoted to sergeant and a new officer has been hired.
The City Council on Monday approved the promotion of Nathan Wolfe to sergeant. He has been a city police officer since 2011. He has served as a leader of the Special Emergency Response Team, which handles high risk searches and arrest warrants.
He is also a defensive tactics instructor.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Ames.
Zachary Colin was hired as the newest police officer. He is a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School.
He earned an associate degree from Iowa Central Community College and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Iowa State University.
