First Presbyterian to raise funds for Ukraine relief
First Presbyterian Church will host a fundraising event featuring Marharyta Tataryna, a Ukrainian exchange student hosted in Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. today in the commons of the church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N.
Tataryna will talk about her country and life before the war as well as her experiences watching the war in her homeland from the safety of her host community.
The funds donated during the event will go to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Ukraine Relief and will help provide humanitarian aid for people who had to flee their homes due to the violence.
