Fifth Ave. S. water main break fixed
A broken water main under a busy section of Fifth Avenue South has been repaired.
The 8-inch diameter main in the 2900 block of Fifth Avenue South broke late Monday afternoon. Public Works Director Brett Daniel said it was repaired by about 7 p.m.
The hole in the road was filled in Tuesday morning with rock.
“It will be a little bumpy until spring,” Daniel said.
He said six or seven businesses were without water service Monday until repairs were completed.
