A new firefighter and a new police officer were hired by the Fort Dodge City Council to fill vacancies.

Stephan Cook was hired as a firefighter. He is a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician in Duncombe. He most recently worked as an analytical chemist for U.S. Water Utility Group. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Keegan Myers was hired as a police officer. He most recently worked as a police officer in Manson. Previously, he was a corrections officer at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. He is a native of Fort Dodge who graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Iowa Central Community College.
