Halbur hired as EMT
Shawn Halbur is joining the ranks of the Fort Dodge Fire Department as an emergency medical technician.
The City Council hired him on Monday.
Halbur is a 2015 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School who worked as a certified nursing assistant at Friendship Haven from April 2015 to December 2017. He most recently worked as an EMT with Southeast Iowa Ambulance in Iowa City.
He has an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
