Gully sentenced to five years
T’Vyon S. Gully, 19, of Fort Dodge, has been sentenced to two concurrent sentences of five years in prison by a Webster County District Court judge after pleading guilty to willful injury and weapons charges.
Gully pleaded guilty earlier this week to one charge of willful injury causing bodily injury, a Class D felony, and one charge of felon in possession of a firearm, a Class D felony. The charges stem from two separate incidents — a Feb. 12 shooting that seriously injured 21-year-old Ashton Lomicka, of Fort Dodge, and an interaction with police on April 28.
District Court Judge Angela Doyle sentenced Gully in writing on Wednesday. For each charge, he is sentenced to five years in prison and a $1,178.75 fine. Doyle ordered the prison sentences to be served concurrently, or at the same time, with credit for time served. Gully will be eligible for early release. The fines were suspended due to incarceration.
