COALVILLE — A Webster County woman was uninjured after her GMC Yukon SUV rolled into a ditch between Coalville and Kalo early Sunday morning.

According to Webster County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derek Christie, Sarah Thompson, of Otho, was driving on Nelson Avenue just south of Coalville at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle slid off the road and rolled into the east ditch.

Christie said the responding deputy noted the “roads were pure ice” at the time.

Thompson was not injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved. Due to road conditions, the SUV could not be towed right away and remained on its top in the ditch through Monday.

Thompson was cited for no insurance.
