Manson Meridian Singers postpone 50th anniversary show due to pandemic

MANSON — The Manson Meridian Singers have decided to postpone the group’s 50th anniversary show until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the group will continue to meet on the first Thursday of each month to sing and to continue planning and fundraising for the upcoming show. Half of the time will be used for singing and the other half for planning.

Anyone who enjoys singing or who wants to learn more about the group is welcome to attend. The Meridians’ next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Manson Mennonite Church, 1310 Eighth St., Manson.

All singing parts are welcome: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Director Mary Jo Laupp, along with accompanist Trish Mernka, will lead the rehearsals. Masks are strongly recommended.
