ICCC looks to ‘finish strong’ this semester

Iowa Central Community College has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases on campus over the past week, but not enough that college President Dan Kinney thinks classes need to go virtual at this time.

“We are continuing to monitor what is happening and will continue to make changes to our protocols as we move forward,” he told The Messenger on Wednesday. “We only have a couple weeks of face-to-face classes, and we plan on finishing strong.”

Kinney said he is proud of how ICCC students and staff have handled the “setback we had this year.”

Kinney has required the use of masks and other face coverings on campus this semester to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
