Road closure, water shut off announced on First Avenue North
Weather permitting, beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday until work is completed, traffic on First Avenue North between 20th and 21st Street will be closed to all but local residential and business traffic. City crews will be installing a new fire hydrant.
Water will be shut off at 9 a.m. on Tuesday on First Avenue North between 18th and 21st streets, until work is completed to remove and replace the broken fire hydrant located at First Avenue North and 20th Street. Door tags will be distributed to all affected citizens.
Detours will be posted. Please use alternate routes if possible.
Motorists are urged to reduce speed and use caution in the area.
