EAGLE GROVE — The Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce is asking local residents and businesses to “adopt-a-classroom” in the Eagle Grove Community School District this fall.

The “Adopt-A-Classroom” project aims to give each educator in the district $50 in Chamber Bucks to buy classroom supplies.

Donors who wish to participate should contact the Chamber with the number of classrooms they want to sponsor and send checks payable to Eagle Grove Chamber to P.O. Box 2, Eagle Grove, Iowa, 50533 by Aug. 12.

There are 83 teachers in the EGCSD, so the fundraising goal to have all classrooms “adopted” is $4,250.

The donations will be presented during the school district’s Board of Education meetings and sponsors will be publicly thanked.
