Webster Co. sees 2 new COVID-19 cases

Webster County saw two new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, the smallest increase in three days, as most surrounding counties continue a steady increase this week.

Webster County went from 85 cases confirmed Monday to 87 Tuesday, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Hamilton County now has more cases than Webster County, with 96 Tuesday. That puts Hamilton County’s infection rate at nearly triple Webster County’s, with 642 cases per 100,000. Webster County’s rate is 240 per 100,000.

Wright County continues its surge after eclipsing 200, ending at 245 Tuesday.

Buena Vista County now has 1,256 cases and added a fourth name to its death toll Tuesday.
