MIDAS to resume transit services

The Dodger Area Rapid Transit (DART) and the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) systems will resume service June 10, the MIDAS Council of Governments announced Thursday.

DART services will resume their fixed routes and Jefferson Lines shuttles, as well as paratransit services and the Prestage work shuttle.

RTA will resume demand response service in all six counties in its region: Pocahontas, Humboldt, Wright, Hamilton, Webster and Calhoun Counties.

To protect the safety of drivers and customers, MIDAS will require both drivers and riders to wear a mask or other face covering. For passengers without a face covering, drivers will have masks available for $2.

Hand sanitizer stations have been installed in each bus, and bus capacities will be limited to one passenger per seat to ensure proper social distancing.

Offices will be open to the community Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those with questions or wanting to schedule a ride can contact the dispatch office at 515-573-8145. Pass sales will resume June 10.
