Iowa Central fitness center closes after COVID-19 contact
Iowa Central Community College’s REC fitness center closed Friday after the school was notified that a patron tested positive for COVID-19, according to college President Dan Kinney.
The REC is in the process of deep cleaning, Kinney said, and will continue to remain closed until further notice. ICCC anticipates that the closure will be at least a couple days.
The school was notified of the positive patron Friday evening. The patron was not an employee on campus.
No other cases of COVID-19 on campus have been confirmed since the pandemic started, Kinney said.
