A new one-year contract for unionized police officers is among the items on the agenda for the Fort Dodge City Council tonight.

The proposed contract with Public Professional and Maintenance Employees Local 2003 would go into effect July 1. It includes 1.5 percent raises on July 1 and Jan. 1, 2021.

The promotion of a firefighter to lieutenant, some equipment purchases and the final reading of a measure to vacate a city-owned right-of-way near Amigo’s, 280 N. First St., are also on the agenda.
