In accordance with local, state, and federal guidance on reopening from COVID-19 closures, effective immediately, the city of Fort Dodge will begin to accept special event permits on a case-by-case process for events that can follow the current health guidelines. Those events of larger size will not be accepted until further notice.

Event organizers that feel their event meets the prescribed standards are welcome to submit their special event permit through the normal process. The city of Fort Dodge encourages event organizers to reevaluate their current event strategies and adapt events to fit new health guidelines to provide these recreational activities for the community.
