Absentee ballot requests due to auditor’s office by Friday

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the June 2 primary election is 5 p.m. Friday.

All registered voters should have received an absentee ballot request form from the Iowa Secretary of State in the mail in recent weeks. Those wishing to request an absentee ballot will need to fill out that form and return it to the county auditor at the Webster County Courthouse, 701 Central Ave.

Request forms being submitted by mail will need to be postmarked by 5 p.m. Friday. Forms can also be returned in person prior to that deadline.

After that date, voters will be able to vote an absentee ballot in person at the DHS Building, 330 First Ave. N, vote by mail or vote at their combined polling location. Combined polling sites can be found at www.webstercountyia.org.

For those mailing their absentee ballots for the June 2 primary, the ballots must be postmarked by midnight on June 1. Ballots can also be returned in person at the Webster County Courthouse.

For more information, call the Webster County Auditor’s Office at 515-573-7175.
