In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center is postponing all elective procedures and surgeries beginning March 23, until further notice.

“The health and safety of our patients and team members is always our top priority,” the hospital said in a written statement. “We believe that taking this step now, is in the best interest of all, and will help us further concentrate on making sure we have adequate equipment and supplies during this challenging period.”

All UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge locations will remain open.

Urgent and emergency surgeries will continue.

“We ask for the patience of those impacted by this change,” the hospital said. “Patients will be contacted by their doctor’s office with more information about their specific care, including rescheduling.”
