Semi overturns on Highway 20, no injuries reported
A semitrailer overturned early Friday morning on U.S. Highway 20 under poor weather conditions, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
An ISP report said that the eastbound semitrailer ran off the road into the median between Racine Avenue and Poplar Avenue, landing on its side and blocking both westbound lanes shortly after 4 a.m. Ice, snow and wind contributed to the loss of control.
No injuries were reported from the driver of the semi, registered to Starline Logistics of Redmond, Washington. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
