FD library seeks participants for Smithsonian exhibit

The Fort Dodge Public Library is seeking members of the public to be part of a Smithsonian exhibit.

The library will host the traveling exhibit, called “Voices and Votes,” from the Smithsonian Institution, beginning in March.

The library will collect stories from the public, some of which will be included in the exhibit.

Adult and Teen Services Librarian Erika Earp will record stories from 2 to 5 p.m. today in the lobby conference room. Participants will have to sign a release and choose whether they would like their name attached to their story or not, and then talk for a couple of minutes. Participants do not have to come up with the subject matter, as there will be questions to choose from.

The library is located at 424 Central Ave.
