City to host ‘Operation Merry Mulch’ this year
The City of Fort Dodge Forestry Department announced its 29th year of “Operation Merry Mulch” during Monday night’s city council meeting.
This service assists Fort Dodge residents in properly disposing of their Christmas trees.
Residents can drop off their trees at Oleson Park near the park cabin in the parking lot. Residents have until Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, to drop off their trees.
Only Christmas trees free of stands, wire, nails and ornaments will be accepted. The trees will be chipped during normal working hours.
