Gowrie Fire Dept. to give out batteries
GOWRIE — The Gowrie Fire Department will be giving residents who live within their fire district free 9-volt smoke detector batteries from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Gowrie Fire Station, 1108 Main St.
Residents will also be able to request help with installing either new batteries or a smoke detector at the same time.
The department also has smoke detectors and fire extinguishers for sale to district residents at cost.
