Fireside Chat Thursday at Camp WaNoKi
Webster and Hamilton County Conservation Boards are sponsoring a Fireside Chat at 6 p.m. Thursday at Camp WaNoKi, 2401 WaNoKi Camp Road. Knapping enthusiast Pat Hashman of Story City will give a presentation on Hands-on Archaeology using rock and hammer stones to make “arrowheads.” There will be a campfire snack and optional hike in the woods. There will be large limestone sitting stones around the fire ring or being your own campfire chair. Park in the big lot and walk to the fire ring. There are a few close parking spots available for more accessibility. The program is free and open to the public.
