The Fort Dodge City Council will receive an update on efforts to renovate the Warden Plaza when it meets Monday.

The council will start its efforts with a workshop at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S., regarding the plan to convert the vacant downtown structure into apartments and commercial space.

The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building. During that meeting, the council is expected to to act on a resolution amending the Center City and Industrial Park Urban Renewal Areas. The council is also scheduled to award a contract for the demolition of some vacant houses and consider the second reading of an update solid waste collection ordinance.
