Wright County Supervisors extend local option tax
CLARION — Wright County supervisors voted last week to put the local option sales and service tax extension on the ballot in a special election next year.
The 1% tax, which is set to expire on June 30, 2021, is currently imposed on the unincorporated area of Wright County.
Supervisors are asking voters to consider renewing the tax, revenues from which can be used for “any lawful purpose of the county,” with a special election on March 3, 2020.
