Man walks away from FD halfway house
The Iowa Department of Corrections is looking for Lennox VanVacter after they say he walked away from the Fort Dodge Residential Correctional Facility early Sunday.
According to the DOC, VanVacter, 26, left the facility without authorization and did not return.
He is described as a Native American man who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has been at the facility since June 24.
VanVacter was convicted of first-degree theft and other crimes in Webster County.
