Webster Co. Fair taking photography entries

The Webster County Fair is offering an open photography class again this year, giving the public the opportunity to showcase their work, as well as receive feedback through judging.

Entries will be accepted through Friday at the Webster County Extension office located at 217 S. 25th St., Ste. C12 (at the Crossroads Mall Center) in Fort Dodge. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

There are two divisions for entry: youth and adult/senior. Categories for photos include landscape, animals, things, and plants. All photographs must be mounted and unframed. There is a fee of 50 cents per entry and up to two photos per category is allowed for adults and three per category for youth.

Work must be original and the work of the photographer; work previously exhibited in the Webster County Fair Open Class will not be accepted. The youth division is age 17 and under, and the adult class is age 18 and over.

Each entry will receive a blue, red or white ribbon unless receiving one of the special awards such as a first place in category or best of show award. All of the entries will be on display during the Webster County Fair July 10-14.

An entry form and further information may be found on the Webster County Fair’s website at webstercountyfairgroundsia.com.
