Fort Dodge City Council to consider projects

Infrastructure projects will be on the agenda for the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday.

The council will consider awarding a contract for a new sanitary sewer, storm sewers, water main and road reconstruction along 13th Avenue South between 23rd and 26th streets.

Rasch Construction Inc., of Fort Dodge, has submitted the apparent low bid of about $1 million.

The council will also consider approving a low interest loan to pay for ongoing work at the John W. Pray Water Facility, where a building addition is being constructed to house reverse osmosis treatment equipment.

The council will meet in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S.

It will start with a 5 p.m. workshop. Text amendments to the zoning laws and a community broadband pre-feasibility study will be discussed during the workshop.

The council’s business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. That’s when the infrastructure projects will be discussed and voted upon. The council will also consider hiring an engineering firm to design a new water feature for Oleson Park.
